Xàtiva initiates 19 million euro tender for Hotel Murta
The Xàtiva City Council has approved the start of a procurement process to find an operator for the Hotel Murta and its associated cafeteria-restaurant. The contract, valued at over 19 million euros, aims to restore hotel and hospitality activity to the site and reintegrate it into the city's tourism offerings. The concession will last for 20 years without the possibility of extension, with a minimum monthly fee of 1,004.41 euros.
To maintain the establishment's three-star rating, the hotel and restaurant services will be managed under a single contract rather than split into separate lots. The tender process will evaluate bids based on economic competitiveness, quality, and service viability.
In a separate effort to support the local economy, the City Council is also launching a back-to-school promotion on September 11. This initiative, part of the ‘Xàtiva Comerç Local’ campaign, includes activities such as prize wheels and virtual scratch cards offering gift vouchers to encourage residents to shop at local businesses instead of online retailers.
