Xàtiva Police Rescue One-Year-Old in Plaza Mayor
On Thursday night after 21:00, emergency services received an alert that a one‑year‑old infant had stopped breathing inside the Plaza Mayor shopping centre in Xàtiva, Spain. Several patrols of the Xàtiva Local Police arrived, found the child unconscious, and immediately began life‑saving measures, including a Heimlich maneuver and preparation of a semi‑automatic defibrillator.
A SAMU (emergency medical assistance) unit reached the scene a few minutes later, took over advanced resuscitation, and transferred the baby to the Lluís Alcanyís Hospital.
