Xu Bo: Chinese billionaire allegedly fathered 100+ children via U.S. surrogates

A California surrogate, identified by the pseudonym “Judy,” has revealed she was unknowingly carrying a child for Xu Bo, a reclusive Chinese billionaire and founder of the gaming company Duoyi Network. Judy stated she entered the arrangement through an Instagram advertisement offering $120,000, believing she was assisting a single father looking to expand his family through the agency Patriot Conceptions.

Following an investigation by CBS News, leaked documents identified the intended father as Xu Bo. Reports suggest Xu has fathered between 100 and 300 children through U.S.-based surrogacy, a claim Xu has partially acknowledged by stating he has more than 100 children. Judy expressed feeling “blindsided” and “misled,” noting that the agency failed to provide transparency regarding the identity and scale of the intended father’s family plans. She also reported that she has made multiple unsuccessful attempts to meet Xu in person.

The revelation has raised significant questions regarding transparency, informed consent, and the ethics of the commercial surrogacy industry in the United States.
