Xuan Thien to invest 21 trillion VND in Dak Lak solar plants

The Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee has approved an investment project for the Ia Rvê solar power complex, involving five companies within the Xuan Thien ecosystem. The project represents a total investment of over 21,100 billion VND and aims for a total capacity of 1,000MW.

The development spans approximately 1,338 hectares across Ia Rvê and Ia Lốp communes. It consists of four solar power plants: three plants with 300MW capacity each (Ia Rvê 1, 2, and 3) and one 100MW plant. A significant feature of the project is the inclusion of a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) with a capacity of 100MW and 200MWh, designed to store daytime energy for later use or grid distribution.

Infrastructure works will include 110kV substations, transmission lines, and the expansion of the Xuan Thien – Ea Súp 500kV substation. All electricity produced will be sold to Vietnam Electricity (EVN) via the national grid. The construction and operational timeline is estimated at 18 months following the official land allocation decision.
