Xunta de Galicia reports 42 students ineligible for school transport

The Xunta de Galicia has reported that 42 out of 79 students attending the IES de Carril from the A Escardia bus stop are ineligible for free school transport. According to current regulations, students must reside more than two kilometers from the school or outside the school's urban center to qualify for the service.

Families from A Escardia and A Torre have expressed significant dissatisfaction with the current transport arrangements. Students from A Torre were reassigned to a different line, requiring them to be at stops as early as 8:15 AM. Additionally, some students at the A Escardia stop have been unable to board buses due to capacity issues. While the administration modified routes to manage capacity, the school reported a significant increase in transport requests for the A Escardia stop.
