Xuxa Meneghel's tour sparks outfit controversy

Brazilian entertainer Xuxa Meneghel launched her farewell tour “O Último Voo da Nave” on 25 July 2026 at São Paulo’s Allianz Parque, featuring a 400‑kg, eight‑metre‑diameter spaceship that cycled over the crowd. The production involved a multinational team and extensive technical equipment.

The show attracted criticism for a revealing bodysuit worn by the 63‑year‑old star. Xuxa responded on social media, joking that the backlash could help promote the tour, and thanked fans for their support. Former Paquita Andréa Sorvetão called the outfit “beyond the limit,” while actress Carolina Dieckmann defended Xuxa’s freedom to dress as she wishes.

Singer Ivete Sangalo confirmed she will appear at the tour’s final concert on 20 December at Rio’s Maracanã. Meanwhile, internet‑meme personality Paty Botafogo, known from the “Que show da Xuxa é esse?” meme, said the renewed spotlight has not yet translated into financial stability.
