Xuxa Meneghel leads vaccination campaign and supports partner in dance competition

Brazilian presenter Xuxa Meneghel is involved in several recent public developments. She is participating in a vaccination awareness campaign in Rio de Janeiro, revisiting her 1989 role in promoting polio immunization to encourage current generations to stay updated on vaccinations.

In the entertainment sphere, her partner Junno Andrade has joined the cast of the 2026 season of ‘Dança dos Famosos’ on TV Globo. Xuxa expressed both surprise and respect for his decision to compete, noting the physical challenges and the high technical level of other participants. The competition has introduced a new format where participants compete in groups for the first three weeks.

Additionally, artist DJ Marlboro expressed gratitude toward Xuxa for her historical support of the funk genre during her television programs. Meanwhile, carnival designer Cahê Rodrigues has publicly requested that Xuxa include a tribute to the samba schools that have honored her career during her upcoming ‘O Último Voo da Nave’ tour at the Maracanã stadium in December.
