Xuyen A Tay Ninh Hospital treats multiple acute myocardial infarction cases

Doctors at Xuyen A Tay Ninh General Hospital have successfully treated several patients suffering from acute myocardial infarction (heart attack) through Digital Subtraction Angiography (DSA) and coronary interventions.

One 57-year-old patient presented with severe chest pain, shortness of breath, and cold limbs following dinner. Medical teams identified coronary artery damage and restored blood flow using balloon angioplasty and drug-coated balloons. Another 53-year-old patient was found to have a 95-99% blockage in the left anterior descending artery, which was treated with stent placement.

A notable case involved a 59-year-old woman who initially sought treatment for facial paralysis (7th cranial nerve palsy). During her care, she developed chest pain, nausea, and sweating, leading doctors to diagnose an acute non-ST-elevation myocardial infarction. She was stabilized with a stent and discharged after one week.

Medical experts warn that heart attacks do not always present with typical chest pain. Symptoms can include discomfort in the upper abdomen, unusual fatigue, shortness of breath, sweating, or nausea, which patients may mistake for digestive issues.
