XXVI Week of the Italian Language in the World launches globally

The XXVI Week of the Italian Language in the World has commenced, featuring international initiatives aimed at promoting Italian language and culture. Under the theme ‘Genius Language: design, project, create with Italian’, the event involves academic meetings, institutional missions, and cultural activities across multiple continents.

At the Universidade Federal de Goiás in Brazil, Gianni Lattanzio of the Istituto Cooperazione Paesi Esteri (ICPE) advocated for the creation of trilingual schools that include Italian as a fundamental language. He emphasized the role of linguistic training in strengthening dialogue between Italy and Brazil, connecting historical emigration with modern innovation and cultural diplomacy.

The Università per Stranieri di Perugia is also playing a central role, conducting missions in Turkmenistan, Armenia, Canada, and Vietnam. In Turkmenistan, a delegation led by Giovanna Scocozza engaged with universities in Ashgabat to expand Italian language certification opportunities and strengthen ties with local institutions like the Ish Nokady Center.
