XXX Hispanoamericano Press Congress addresses AI impact in Bolivia

The 30th Hispanoamericano Press Congress took place in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, Bolivia, from October 28 to 30. The event brought together journalists, academics, and researchers from across Latin America, Europe, and Asia to discuss the future of journalism in the era of Artificial Intelligence.

Key discussions focused on the necessity of professional ethics, verification, and continuous training to combat disinformation and the rise of bots and AI-generated videos. Experts, including Dr. Ignacio Ramonet and Dr. Amín Cruz, emphasized that while AI offers new opportunities for media, it requires rigorous professional judgment and responsibility to maintain journalistic integrity.
