Xylem Inc. to acquire Indicor pump businesses for $1.46 billion

Xylem Inc. plans to acquire the Cornell Pump and Roper Pump businesses from Indicor in a cash transaction valued at $1.46 billion. The acquisition is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026. To fund the purchase and associated costs, the company has arranged a $1.5 billion unsecured revolving credit line and described three series of senior unsecured notes.

In its second quarter results, Xylem reported an adjusted earnings per share (EPS) of $1.46, exceeding the consensus estimate of $1.34. Revenue for the quarter reached $2.34 billion, representing a 1.5 percent increase compared to the same quarter last year. The company also reported an adjusted EBITDA margin of 23.3 percent and a 41 percent increase in orders.

Regarding institutional activity, Envestnet Asset Management Inc. reduced its stake in Xylem by 1.6 percent during the second quarter. Conversely, several major institutions established or increased positions, including BlackRock Inc., Bank of New York Mellon Corp, and HSBC Holdings PLC, which all acquired new stakes during the same period.
