Yaşar Holding hosts organic milk industry panel in Manisa

Yaşar Holding organized a panel titled ‘The Past, Present, and Future of Organic Milk’ in Manisa to discuss the evolution and strategic direction of the organic milk sector. The event brought together industry representatives, academics, and government officials, including experts from the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the National Milk Council, and local universities.

Feyhan Yaşar, Chairperson of Yaşar Holding and Çamlı Yem Besicilik, emphasized that organic milk is critical not only for nutrition and health but also for sustainable agriculture, climate change mitigation, and future food security. She highlighted the importance of maintaining reliability and quality throughout the entire supply chain, from production and certification to processing and storage.

Manisa Deputy Governor Cemil Kılınç noted that agricultural and animal production serves a vital role in societal sustainability beyond mere economic activity. He stressed the necessity of strict oversight in organic milk production, covering aspects such as pasture access, feed quality, and medication use to protect both the environment and human health.
