Yabu Doken adopts Dropbox Protect to secure construction DX

Yabu Doken, a general construction company based in Okinawa, Japan, is enhancing its digital transformation (DX) efforts by implementing Dropbox Protect to secure its multi-cloud environment. While the company already utilizes Google Drive for standard operations, it recently added Dropbox to facilitate smoother data sharing at construction sites.

The move addresses challenges related to the increasing size of digital assets, such as BIM/CIM 3D data, site drawings, and high-resolution photographs. By using Dropbox, the company aims to improve synchronization speeds in areas with poor connectivity and ensure secure file sharing with numerous external partner companies.

To mitigate risks of information leakage caused by configuration errors or lack of visibility into file sharing, Yabu Doken integrated Dropbox Protect. This SaaS solution allows the company to visualize risks and monitor how content is shared and published across its cloud storage platforms.
