Yacht Club Chernomorets Burgas wins two Olympic class titles

Yacht Club Chernomorets Burgas secured two championship titles in the Olympic classes ILCA 6 and 470 at the 2026 State Sailing Championship held in Nessebar.

Aleksandra Lukyanova won the women's ILCA 6 title after winning six races. Her performance is part of a training program aimed at securing an Olympic quota for Bulgaria at the Los Angeles Games, with her next major competition scheduled for January in Brazil.

In the 470 Olympic class, the crew of Igor and Yura Veritelnik claimed the championship title. The club also saw notable performances from Atanas Kobarelov in the Finn class and Semion Emelianov, who narrowly missed a bronze medal due to a disqualification for a false start in the final race.
