Yacht fire on Lake Dąbie leaves two passengers injured

A yacht caught fire on Lake Dąbie near Szczecin on a Friday afternoon. Witnesses attempted to extinguish the flames before emergency services arrived. Two passengers sustained burns to their lower limbs and were transported to Zdroje Hospital before being transferred to a hospital in Gryfice for further treatment.

Due to the vessel's technical condition and potential for water pollution, the wreck was initially left at anchor. The Inland Navigation Office and the Municipal Crisis Management Center in Szczecin were notified. The yacht was eventually towed from Lake Dąbie later that evening.
