Yacuiba: Money changer wounded in violent armed robbery
An armed robbery occurred in the San José de Pocitos commercial district of Yacuiba on Tarija Avenue, leaving a money changer wounded. Two suspects dressed in black with covered faces approached the victim's cash register during daylight hours.
During the robbery, the assailants used a firearm. One shot struck the victim in the leg as they attempted to flee on a black sport motorcycle. The attackers reportedly stole a wallet containing cash from the victim's business and personal savings.
The victim was transported to a nearby health center, where their condition remains under reserved diagnosis. In response, the Fuerza Especial de Lucha Contra el Crimen (FELCC) and the Bolivian Police arrived at the scene to collect evidence. Authorities have activated 'Plan Z', which includes closing access points and increasing patrols at border crossings to locate the suspects.
