Yacyretá begins deep well drilling in Caazapá

The Entidad Binacional Yacyretá (EBY) has commenced drilling a new deep well in the Ñupyahumi company, located in the Caazapá district. The project is designed to provide a continuous supply of potable water to approximately 140 rural families.

The technical specifications of the project include the construction of an artesian well 150 meters deep, equipped with hydraulic and electromechanical components, a submersible electric pump, piping, and a 45 KVA transformer. Additionally, the work involves installing a 20,000-liter metal elevated tank, necessary electrical extensions, and improvements to the existing facility.

Beyond improving domestic water access, the infrastructure aims to support local economic activities, particularly horticulture, which is a primary occupation for many families in the area.
