Yadea expands GT80 electric maxi-scooter into Southeast Asia and Nepal

Yadea has expanded the rollout of its GT80 electric maxi-scooter across several Asian markets, including Indonesia, Thailand, Nepal, and Vietnam. The GT80 is positioned as a premium Grand Touring model designed for long-distance comfort and high performance.

In Indonesia, the scooter features aerodynamic bodywork, a full-LED lighting system, and advanced safety features such as Traction Control, Hill Descent Control, and cruise control. A dual-battery configuration is available, offering a range of up to 190 km under WMTC testing. In Thailand, the GT80 and GT80-P models are being marketed to address consumer concerns regarding range and charging times, with builds designed to be waterproof and sun-resistant.

The Nepal launch included the GT80 alongside the GS70 and GT70 models. The Nepal-spec GT80 features a 3.6 kWh lithium battery and a 5 kW peak motor, reaching speeds of 80 km/h. In Vietnam, the model is highlighted for its 5,000W peak power and a top speed of 90 km/h. High-capacity battery versions can achieve a range of up to 170 km. The scooter integrates the AIGO platform, allowing users to connect via a smartphone app for navigation, vehicle status monitoring, and call notifications.
