Yadegar-e-Imam Highway collision involves truck and 11 cars

A multi-vehicle chain collision occurred on the Yadegar-e-Imam Highway in Tehran, involving one truck and 11 passenger cars. The incident took place around 10:47 AM on the southbound route, following Marzdaran Street.

According to Jalal Maleki, spokesperson for the Tehran Municipality Fire Department and Safety Services, the truck collided with various vehicles, including Pride, Peugeot 206, and Rio models, before overturning on the shoulder of the highway. Some of the truck's cargo was spilled onto the roadway.

Five people were injured in the accident, consisting of three women and two men, including the truck driver. Emergency services transported the injured to medical centers. Firefighters reported that no individuals were trapped inside the vehicles, as they had exited prior to the arrival of emergency crews. After securing the scene and moving damaged vehicles, the area was handed over to traffic police to investigate the exact cause of the crash.
