Yadgir: Three women killed in pickup van crash

Three women labourers were killed and 15 others injured after a pickup vehicle crashed into an electric pole near Madnal village in the Shahapur taluk of Yadgir district, Karnataka.

The accident occurred on Sunday as the workers were returning home after a day of removing cotton crop residue in nearby fields. Preliminary reports suggest the driver lost control of the vehicle before it struck the pole. The deceased have been identified as Bhagyashree (35), Satyamma (30), and Honningamma (18).

The injured individuals were transported to Shahapur hospital for medical treatment. Local police from Bhimarayanagudi have visited the site and initiated an investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
