Yaeji releases new single DDR

Korean dance artist Yaeji has released her first single of 2026, titled “ddr,” which stands for Dance Dance Revolution. The track is a club-oriented song featuring drum patterns inspired by Chicago footwork. Yaeji co-produced the single alongside New York underground figures Enayet and K Wata.

The accompanying music video, directed by Giseong Jun, depicts Yaeji following a stranger from a subway to an underground dance party. In a statement regarding the track, Yaeji described the concept of a “dance dance revolution” as the collective experience of people on a dancefloor, supporting one another and finding connection through music.

To celebrate the release, Yaeji will host an all-night event this Friday, November 6, at the Paragon venue in Brooklyn. The party will feature DJ sets from Yaeji, DJ Swisha, OSSX, Lil C, and DJ Noir.
