Yaeyama Police Station wins consecutive communication competition titles

The Yaeyama Police Station has secured consecutive victories in the Okinawa Prefectural Police Communication Command Competition. The team, consisting of Sergeant Masaichiro Kinjo, Assistant Inspector Keisuke Nagamine, and Patrol Officer Kaho Hidaka, won the group category for the second year running.

Assistant Inspector Nagamine also received the top individual award in the command category, earning a spot in the national competition. The event tests the ability of police units to coordinate rapid initial responses, from receiving emergency calls to providing accurate radio instructions to officers on the scene. The Yaeyama team was specifically praised for their ability to conduct efficient information gathering while considering the emotional state of callers.
