Yahoo! Shopping launches AI-driven fashion coordination tool

LINE Yahoo Corporation has launched a pilot version of ‘AI Omakase Coordinate’ on Yahoo! Shopping, a new feature designed to assist users with fashion selection through generative AI. The tool aims to solve common online shopping challenges, such as difficulty visualizing outfits and determining correct sizing.

The AI functionality offers several key capabilities: it can suggest full-body outfits based on a selected item and preferred style (such as ‘casual’ or ‘neat’), and it can generate AI images of models wearing the suggested combinations to provide a visual sense of the look. Additionally, the system allows users to compare the dimensions of a current item with previously purchased products to assist in size selection. It also uses AI to summarize product details, materials, and user reviews.

The service is currently being rolled out in collaboration with specific fashion stores, including antiqua, HUG. U, osharewalker, and Honeys. Yahoo! Shopping reported that AI-driven transactions accounted for approximately 20% of its total transaction volume as of July 2025, highlighting the growing integration of AI in its e-commerce ecosystem.
