Yahoo Weather adds air quality, pollen and radar upgrades

Yahoo Weather released version 3.1.8 for iPhone and iPad, adding minute‑by‑minute precipitation radar, detailed air‑quality and pollen maps, moon‑phase information and a contextual daily weather summary. The free update, available through the App Store, requires iOS/iPadOS 17.6 or later and about 144 MB of storage.

A separate review of German weather‑alert apps lists the most reliable options. The WarnWetter app provides data directly from the Deutscher Wetterdienst with customizable regional alerts. The NINA app, run by the Federal Office of Civil Protection, covers severe weather as well as fires and traffic incidents. KATWARN, developed by the Fraunhofer Institute, offers multi‑city monitoring and automatic alerts when entering danger zones. The Umweltbundesamt’s air‑quality app warns of ozone spikes, and WetterOnline and Biwapp round out the selection with broader forecasts and local information.
