In response, Yailin declared on social media that she feels like an “orphan of father and mother,” emphasizing her need to prioritize her emotional well-being and peace. She requested that the public and media stop linking her name to situations or conflicts that do not involve her.

Mami Kim also addressed the situation, expressing shock at her mother's words. While she noted that she would still choose her mother despite her flaws, she also addressed disagreements regarding financial support and the management of assets within the family.
