The Ayuntamiento de Yaiza has opened a public procurement process worth €400,000 to replace street lighting in the historic centre of Playa Blanca on Lanzarote. The contract covers the removal of existing poles and luminaires on 22 streets and the installation of a new system that will allow remote control and tele‑management of the lighting.

Interested companies must submit their offers by 31 August 2026. The project is overseen by the municipal administration led by Mayor Óscar Noda and aims to modernise the lighting infrastructure while meeting maintenance requirements.
