Yakima hosts annual Paws in the Pool dog swimming event

The City of Yakima’s Franklin Pool will host the annual ‘Paws in the Pool’ event this Sunday, August 23rd, from 2 to 4 pm. Organized by Yakima Parks and Recreation, the free event allows residents to bring their dogs of all breeds and sizes to swim and cool off from the summer heat.

While the event is free to attend, donations are encouraged to support the Yakima Humane Society. Participants are required to ensure their dogs are up to date on vaccinations, keep pets on leashes until they enter the pool area, and clean up after them. Aggressive dogs are not permitted at the event.
