Yakubu Aiyegbeni names all-time Super Eagles XI

Former Nigerian striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni has sparked significant debate after unveiling his personal all-time Super Eagles starting eleven. The selection, shared via the official Nigeria national team account on X, heavily favors players from the 1990s and early 2000s.

Aiyegbeni’s lineup includes Vincent Enyeama in goal, with a defensive line of Celestine Babayaro, Joseph Yobo, Danny Shittu, and Bright Osayi-Samuel. The midfield features Sunday Oliseh and Austin ‘Jay-Jay’ Okocha, supported by Finidi George and Julius Aghahowa on the wings. Up front, Aiyegbeni selected himself alongside Nwankwo Kanu.
