Yalıkavakspor to compete for Presidential Cup in Ankara

Yalıkavakspor, a handball club founded 16 years ago in the Bodrum district of Muğla, has qualified to compete for the Presidential Cup in Ankara. The club, which began its journey on dirt courts with the mission of introducing young girls to sports, has since achieved national championships, won the Turkish Cup and Super Cup, and reached the semi-finals of European competitions.

The upcoming match is scheduled for Tuesday, August 25, at the Prof. Dr. Yaşar Sevim Handball Hall in Ankara, where Yalıkavakspor will face Üsküdar Belediyesi Spor Kulübü.

Club President Emin Palalı emphasized that while the sporting achievements are a source of pride, the club's primary mission remains its social impact. Palalı noted that the greatest success is helping young girls discover sports and develop into strong individuals, providing a positive alternative to modern risks such as addiction and the uncontrolled digital world.
