Turkish industrial sectors advance defense integration and food safety

Various industrial and agricultural developments are underway in Turkey. In Aydın, the Aydın Chamber of Industry (AYSO), led by Gökhan Maraş, has launched a project to integrate local businesses into the defense industry supply chain. The initiative began with a seminar on competency, standards, and supplier development to help local firms meet the rigorous requirements of the defense sector.

Simultaneously, the Aydın Governor's Office has intensified inspections of the dried fig sector to ensure food safety and quality. Authorities are conducting checks across 17 districts, including warehouse inspections and road checkpoints, to mitigate mycotoxin risks and ensure the proper use of the Aydın Fig Geographical Indication logo. Traceability audits are also being performed on exporters to verify the origin of raw materials.

In Yalova, the Istanbul Textile and Raw Materials Exporters' Association (İTHİB) held a board meeting at Aksa Akrilik's production facilities to discuss the future of the textile sector, focusing on export growth and competitiveness. Additionally, the Yalova Machine Specialized Organized Industrial Zone (OSB) continues to support vocational education through partnerships with local technical high schools to develop a qualified workforce for the region's industry.
