Yalova: Pregnant woman killed by husband in shotgun attack

In the Bağlarbaşı neighborhood of Yalova, a man identified as Muhammed D. shot his eight-month pregnant wife, Sultan Pelit D., with a shotgun following an argument of unknown cause. After the shooting, the suspect attempted suicide by firing the same weapon at himself.

Emergency medical teams transported both individuals to the hospital. During medical intervention, Sultan Pelit D. underwent an emergency cesarean section, and a male baby was successfully delivered. The infant was subsequently transferred to a private hospital for continued treatment. Despite medical efforts, the mother passed away. The suspect remains in intensive care in serious condition. Local authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
