Koji Yamada, CEO of Yamada Komuten, has led the Shizuoka-based company through a strategic shift from large-scale general contracting to specialized residential services. After gaining experience as a site supervisor at a general contractor, Yamada returned to the family business to implement structured management systems and organizational standards.

The company, which operates primarily in the area between Yaizu and Kakegawa, has focused on high-density regional strategies and high-quality construction through strict site organization. Yamada transitioned the business model toward new home construction and renovations after finding greater professional fulfillment in direct customer interactions and solving residential issues compared to large-scale commercial projects.
