Yamada Ryusei to Pitch Opening at Oisix Niigata Albirex Baseball Event

Oisix Niigata Albirex Baseball Club will host a three‑day "West District DAY" from August 11–13 at Hard Off Eco Stadium in Niigata during its farm league games against the Hayate Ventures Shizuoka. Olympic bronze‑medalist snowboarder Yamada Ryusei, former Takarazuka star Eno Ryu and regional ambassador Yamada Ayano will each perform a ceremonial first pitch.

The event features local food and drink stalls, including a booth for Kurozaki edamame – the first Japanese‑origin product to receive geographic‑indication protection – and a selection of Niigata sake from Takara‑yama Brewery. Student admission is free for all levels of education, encouraging young residents to experience professional baseball.

The club, sponsored by food‑delivery company Oisix, aims to promote regional specialties and community engagement while building a reputation as "Japan’s most delicious" baseball team.
