Yamaguchi Destination Campaign to promote regional tourism

The Yamaguchi Destination Campaign, titled ‘Manpuku no Tabi: Oidemase Fuku no Kuni, Yamaguchi’, is scheduled to run from October to December. This collaborative initiative involves the JR Group, local governments, and tourism stakeholders to promote travel through special products, point campaigns, and limited-time offers.

A key feature of the campaign is the ‘Yamaguchi Fuku no Kuni Tour Pass’, a digital pass available exclusively through the ‘tabiwa by WESTER’ app. Priced at 5,000 yen for adults and 2,500 yen for children, the pass includes unlimited travel on JR lines within Yamaguchi Prefecture, access to certain secondary transportation like buses, and admission to various tourist facilities.

One of the primary attractions highlighted is the Kintai Bridge, a nationally designated scenic spot featuring a unique five-arch wooden structure. The campaign also encourages visits to sites such as Iwakuni Castle, accessible via ropeway, and the Ruriko-ji Temple.
