Yamaha and BMW Motorrad update mid-range motorcycle lineups

The mid-range motorcycle market sees updates from major manufacturers Yamaha and BMW Motorrad.

Yamaha's MT-07 continues to hold its position in the mid-size naked segment. It features a 689-cc Crossplane twin engine delivering approximately 54 kW (73 hp) and 67 Nm of torque. The model is designed for urban environments and daily commuting, emphasizing handling and simplicity with a weight of around 184 kg and a 5-inch TFT display.

BMW Motorrad has introduced the F450GS, a new entry in the GS adventure series designed to succeed the G310GS. The model features a newly developed parallel-twin engine with a 135-degree crank layout and is engineered to meet European A2 license requirements. The F450GS includes advanced safety features such as a 6-axis IMU, traction control, and cornering ABS. While production will take place in India, the model aims to maintain the versatility and performance characteristics associated with the GS lineage.
