Yamaha launches WXC-70A streamer and WXA-70A streaming amplifier

Yamaha Corporation has expanded its high-fidelity audio lineup with the introduction of the WXC-70A compact streamer and the WXA-70A compact streaming amplifier. Both devices are designed to integrate modern streaming capabilities into existing Hi-Fi systems.

The WXC-70A functions as both a network player and a pre-amplifier. It features an ESS SABRE ES9039Q2M digital-to-analogue converter and utilizes Yamaha’s ‘DAC on Pure Ground’ circuit design to isolate analogue signals from digital noise. The WXA-70A utilizes Class D amplification, delivering 70 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 105 watts per channel into 4 ohms.

Both units support a wide range of streaming services, including AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Roon Ready, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, and Qobuz Connect. They also feature MusicCast multi-room support and HDMI eARC/ARC connectivity for television integration. Additionally, both models include YPAO room calibration technology to optimize sound based on the listening environment.
