Yamaha Motor tests horror adventure platform at golf course
Yamaha Motor is conducting a demonstration experiment at the Nishi-Atami Golf Course in Shizuoka Prefecture to test its location-based entertainment platform, ‘Mobilit. E. S’. The project, titled ‘Night Patrol’, features an immersive horror adventure where participants ride autonomous golf carts through the course at night.
Using smartphones, participants experience location-linked audio stories and missions that progress as they move through different spots on the course. The experiment aims to verify the operational efficiency and experiential value of location-linked content in large outdoor spaces at night. Additionally, Yamaha Motor seeks to test the portability and reusability of the content, with plans to expand the use of Mobilit. E. S to various tourism and leisure facilities beyond golf courses.
The event is scheduled for October 10, 11, 16, and 17, 2026. Each session lasts approximately 45 minutes, with limited capacity of 10 groups per day.
