Yamaha suffers double retirement at Czech MotoGP as Quartararo crashes and Rins quits
At the Czech Republic MotoGP round in Brno, the Monster Energy Yamaha team endured a disastrous weekend. World champion Fabio Quartararo fell out on lap two after a promising start, while teammate Álex Rins retired on lap 17 due to a mechanical failure that made the bike unpredictable. The double abandonment left Yamaha without points, dropping the rider’s championship positions – Quartararo to 16th with 37 points and Rins to 19th with 12 – and keeping the factory at the bottom of the constructors' standings.
Yamaha will look to recover at the upcoming Dutch Grand Prix in Assen, hoping to translate technical developments into better results after the setback in Brno.
