Yamaha XMAX gains attention through custom wins and celebrity ownership

The Yamaha XMAX model has recently gained attention in Indonesia through both custom modification achievements and high-profile ownership.

At the CustoMAXI 2026 Makassar event, a modified Yamaha XMAX owned by Haji Usman Verdank won first place in the Super MAXI class. The motorcycle features a Sultan Hasanuddin airbrush design and extreme modifications, including custom CNC wheels and an air suspension system. Notably, the vehicle utilizes a PlayStation remote to control various motorized components, such as the suspension height, windshield, seat, and even the engine and throttle.

Separately, Indonesian national football player Thom Haye has purchased a Yamaha Xmax Connected in Metallic Black. The scooter, priced at approximately Rp 70 million, features Blue Core 249.8 cc engine technology, Garmin navigation via a TFT infotainment display, and a smart key system.
