Yamazen expands electric height-adjustable desk lineup for students

Yamazen Co., Ltd. has announced a new lineup of peripheral items for its electric height-adjustable desks, designed to reposition the products as long-term study desks for children. The new accessories, including racks, cabinets, and desktop stands, are scheduled for release in early November 2026 through the company’s online stores and various e-commerce platforms.

The initiative responds to changing domestic learning trends in Japan, where a high percentage of students study in living areas rather than dedicated rooms. The desks feature a wide adjustment range from 57.5 cm to 117.5 cm, allowing them to grow with the user from childhood into adulthood.

Supporting research from Waseda University suggests that alternating between sitting and standing can benefit academic performance and physical well-being by reducing prolonged sedentary time. To complement the desks, Yamazen is introducing various colors and materials, such as stone dark gray and wood natural, to ensure the furniture blends seamlessly into home living spaces.
