Yambol Municipality supports IVF and birth rate initiatives

The Yambol Municipality has reported that eight children have been born to families who received financial assistance for in vitro fertilization (IVF) procedures. Since the program's inception in August 2020, more than 50 applications for assisted reproduction support have been reviewed.

In the last 18 months, the municipality has supported 24 families with a total of 13,570 euros to help cover the costs of IVF. Additionally, the city maintains a regulation for one-time financial aid upon the birth of a child, which has also been utilized by families who previously received IVF support.

To encourage young families to settle in the city, Yambol also provides incentives for residency. Since 2024, two families have received 1,400 euros through this specific program. For the 2026 budget, the municipality has allocated approximately 80,000 euros to support childbirth, IVF procedures, and initiatives to attract young families to the region.
