Colombian journalist Yamid Amat Ruiz is showing a satisfactory clinical evolution and a favorable response to medical treatment at the Fundación Santa Fe de Bogotá, according to an official report.

The medical statement, signed by the institution's medical director Adolfo Llinás Volpe, was released on October 4, 2026, at the request of the journalist's family. This update follows a period of critical health reported in late September.

The hospital noted that future communications regarding his condition will be issued based on relevant changes in his clinical status and will require express authorization from his family. His son, Yamid Amat Serna, previously used social media to address false rumors regarding his father's health.
