Yamil Esgaib criticizes Colorado Party for abandoning Hugo Javier González

Deputy Yamil Esgaib has criticized the Colorado Party for failing to support former Central Department Governor Hugo Javier González following a serious incident currently under investigation. Esgaib expressed “shame” regarding the lack of solidarity shown by the party toward González, noting that the former governor rose to power through the Honor Colorado movement.

While Esgaib stated that the incident does not appear to be linked to the Colorado Party, he noted that a “mafia” hypothesis cannot be ruled out. He urged for patience as investigations proceed to determine if the event was an accident or a criminal act.
