Yamila Vanil crowned Reina del Guayas 2026

Yamila Vanil, representing Guayaquil, has been crowned Reina del Guayas 2026. The coronation took place at the Teatro Centro de Arte during a gala featuring candidates from 19 cantons across the province. The event marks the return of the pageant after a six-year hiatus since its last edition in 2019.

Vanil, who previously served as Virreina of Guayaquil in 2025 and has worked as an international model in China, received a silver crown valued at $25,000. Her prizes also include a vehicle, an English language scholarship, and aesthetic treatments. The pageant was reactivated by the Prefectura del Guayas with a renewed focus on social transformation and visibility for the province's various cantons.
