Yan Diomande Returns to RB Leipzig Camp as Real Madrid Transfer Talks Continue
Ivorian winger Yan Diomande rejoined RB Leipzig’s pre‑season training camp in Saalfelden, Austria, after recovering from an infection that had kept him from traveling with the squad. The club confirmed his presence at the team breakfast and on the training pitch, while negotiations with Real Madrid remain unresolved.
Leipzig’s sport director Marcel Schäfer has said the German side is seeking a guaranteed €120 million fee plus variables, with total values reported between €130 million and €140 million. Some reports claim Real Madrid has already agreed to a deal worth up to €140 million, but the transfer has not been officially announced. The player, who scored 13 goals and provided nine assists in 36 Bundesliga appearances and featured for Ivory Coast at the 2026 World Cup, is still under contract with Leipzig until 2030.
Both clubs continue to work toward a final agreement, with Leipzig maintaining that Diomande’s return to training does not signal a collapse of the deal, and Real Madrid awaiting resolution of outstanding financial and advisory‑contract issues.
