Yan Xiaonan and Denise Gomes headline UFC Shanghai co-main event

UFC Shanghai features a strawweight co-main event between Yan Xiaonan and Denise Gomes this Saturday at the SPD Bank Oriental Sports Center. Yan Xiaonan enters the bout as the betting favourite at -140, utilizing a striking style focused on distance management and a counter right hand. Denise Gomes, who holds a four-fight winning streak, enters as the underdog at +120 and is expected to use an aggressive, combination-heavy pressure style.

During the UFC Shanghai media day, Gomes stated that while Yan is a threat, she does not consider her the biggest challenge she has faced. Gomes described the matchup as the biggest fight of her career and a testament to her professional progress since entering the UFC in 2022.
