Yang Min-hyeok criticized by KVC Westerlo manager

KVC Westerlo manager Issame Sharai has publicly criticized Tottenham Hotspur loanee Yang Min-hyeok regarding his performance and attitude. Sharai noted that the player has not yet demonstrated sufficient intensity or fighting spirit, both during matches and in training sessions.

Yang, who joined Westerlo on loan, has struggled to secure a consistent starting role in the Belgian league. While he recently scored his debut goal for the club following his participation in the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, his recent appearances have been limited. In a recent cup match against Patro Eisden, Yang was substituted at halftime after his first professional start for the club.

Despite the criticism, Sharai acknowledged that it would be too harsh to judge the player solely on his current performance level. Yang's tenure has been marked by various challenges, including injuries and the transition from English football to the Belgian league.
