Yang Min-hyeok scores debut goal for KVC Westerlo

South Korean footballer Yang Min-hyeok scored his first goal in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League during KVC Westerlo’s 5-1 victory over Royal Antwerp on December 12.

Substituted into the match in the 85th minute, the 2006-born attacker capitalized on a counter-attack, outmaneuvering a defender before striking a left-footed shot into the net during stoppage time. This marks his first goal of the season in his third appearance for the club.

Yang, who is currently on loan at Westerlo after joining Tottenham Hotspur, recently returned from the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, where he helped the South Korean national team secure a gold medal. His performance follows recent scrutiny regarding comments he made after the tournament, where he stated he focused on the military service exemption reward rather than the medal itself.
