Yang Yang and Chen Duling to star in new drama Wait for the Wind to Kiss You

Actors Yang Yang and Chen Duling are reuniting for the first time in 11 years to star in the modern romance drama, “Wait for the Wind to Kiss You”. Based on a novel by “Ji Ji De Mao”, the story follows the relationship between Xu Xingchun, a brilliant but cold forensic pathologist, and Fu Xueli, a high-profile celebrity.

The production features a prominent creative team, including Taiwanese directors Qu Youning and Li Qingrong. The series, which is an S+ level project for Tencent Video, will feature the song “The Beginning of an End” by the Taiwanese band Mayday as its promotional theme.

Despite the high-profile cast and crew, the project has faced significant backlash from certain fan groups on social media. Some fans have expressed concerns regarding character depth and role distribution, leading to reports of mass reporting against the production’s promotional content on platforms like Douyin.
