Yangju City launches tourism reward program for western region

Yangju City is launching a pilot tourism reward program titled ‘Spend in Yangju, Yangju Gives More+’ to revitalize the western region's tourism and boost local commercial districts. Running from October 1 to November 30, the initiative commemorates the 40th anniversary of the designation of the Jangheung Tourist Area.

The program targets tourists aged 19 and older who reside outside of Yangju. Eligible participants can receive rewards for spending at tourism, culture, and experience facilities, as well as restaurants, cafes, and accommodations within the western areas of Baekseok-eup, Eunhyeon-myeon, Nam-myeon, Gwangjeok-myeon, and Jangheung-myeon.

Rewards are distributed via the Yangju Love Card: spending 40,000 KRW or more earns a 20,000 KRW card, while spending 80,000 KRW or more earns a 40,000 KRW card. For spending amounts between 50,000 and 80,000 KRW, or above 90,000 KRW, different types of tourism souvenirs will be provided based on the spending tier.

To participate, tourists must apply in advance via the city website and then visit a designated tourist information center with physical receipts and identification after their trip. The pilot project is limited to 350 people on a first-come, first-served basis and may end early if the budget is exhausted.
